Sasa palmata - Palmata Bamboo

A very tropical looking bamboo that can tolerate a lot of shade. Palmata bamboo has big leaves arranged in a fan or palm-like shape. It makes a great screen and is very cold hardy.

Both these groves of Palmata bamboo are about 5 years old. This is a fast spreading bamboo.
