Phyllostachys viridis "Houzeou"

P.viridis (Pigskin bamboo) is a beautiful green giant. This form is very similar but has a yellow sulcis, or groove on each internode. My grove has expaned rapidly over the years and now has some nice sized canes.

This is a larger Houzeou cane, about 3 1/2 inches
in diameter. The yellow stripe is less prominent here.
