Snakeskin or leopard bamboo. This giant bamboo is one of my favorites. The brownish-purple color of the motled pattern on the canes hs a special beauty to me.

Old and new canes, some haven't developed the dark spots yet. These are 2 to 3 inches in diameter.	A couple more culms from another grove.
