The new shoots are some of the prettiest in the spring - light violet and buff striped. Very cold hardy and grows well is partial shade as well as sun. It does get a few hours of morning sun but has spread out quite a bit making it hard to get a decent picture.</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">Here are a couple of canes from the same grove.
