Bamboo Nursery

Psuedosasa japonica 'Tsutsumiana'

Green Onion bamboo. This is a form of Arrow Bamboo, similar in size and apperance but with swollen internodes, looking somewhat like a "green onion". Like Arrow it too makes a good, medium heigth screen. However it seems to be slower growing than Arrow and may not get as tall. This is probably best as a specimen, or landscape plant. The canes are very nice for craft projects.

Swollen nodes

This is a closeup of P.j.Tsutsumiana. It is often called "Green Onion" - notice the swollen internodes. A different looking bamboo for a nice display grove.
