Bamboo Uses

Bamboo has been used for furniture construction for literally thousands of years in Asia. Stools, tables, beds, most anything made from wood was made from bamboo. Today you can find dozens of websites offering bamboo furniture. Most any antique store will have some piece made from bamboo. In the 19th century bamboo furniture became very popular in europe and a whole industry developed making "faux" bamboo furniture. The various wooden parts were turned and carved to resemble bamboo.
