Arrow BambooArrow bamboo is one of the best bamboos for privacy screens. It averages 12 to 15 feet in heigth, has leaves all the way to the ground, and is cold hardy to a little below zero. Best of all, the canes grow so close together it forms an impenatrable screen. To me it has a tropical look with leaves somewhat larger than the average bamboo and a lush, green color. A screen only a couple of feet thick will usually block the view completely. |

On the left is a small grove of P.japonica about 6 to 8 feet in diameter. The grove averages about 15 feet in heigth. Notice the front of a truck on the left side, completely hidden by the screen. On the right is a long screen of Arrow bamboo. | ![]() |

This is me standing in a beautiful grove of Arrow Bamboo located near my place. These culms are about 12 to 15 feet tall. The large leaves give this bamboo a very tropcal look. |
We have this bamboo available in large 15 gallon sizes as well as field dug specimens, 10 to 15 feet tall. |
